Green Walk 90 - Varichur

மதுரையிலிருந்து சுமார் 15 கி.மீ தொலைவில் சிவகங்கைச் செல்லும் சாலையில் வரிச்சியூர் அமைந்துள்ளது. வரிச்சியூரிலிருந்து குன்னத்தூர் செல்லும் சாலையில் உதயகிரி என்னும் சிறுகுன்று ஒன்று உள்ளது. இக்குன்றிற்க்கு சுப்பரமணியர் மலை என்ற பெயரும் உண்டு. இக்குன்றில் சமணர் குடைவரைக் கோயில்கள், தமிழ்பிராமிக் கல்வெட்டுகள், கற்படுகைகள் அமைந்துள்ளது.

Green Walk 52 - Muthu Patti Jaina Caves

Muthupatti, more popularly known as Karadipatti alias Perumalmalai, has two bas-relief structures of Tirthankaras, a separate, beautiful but ruined Tirthankara sculpture, three Brahmi inscriptions (belonging to first century BC), Jain beds and two vattezhuthu inscriptions (belonging to 10th Century AD).

Green Walk 51 - Keeladi

கீழடி பள்ளிச்சந்தைபுதூரில் நடக்கும் அகழ்வாய்வில் சூது பவளம், பளிங்கு, அகேட் மணிகள், பச்சை, மஞ்சள், நீல நிறக் கண்ணாடி மணிகள் கிடைத்துள்ளன. இப்பகுதியில் வாழ்ந்த மக்கள் உள்நாட்டின் பிற பகுதிகளோடு வாணிபத் தொடர்பில் இருந்துள்ளனர். வரலாற்றின் தொடக்க காலத்திய செங்கல் கட்டிடச் சான்றுகள் கிடைப்பது மிகவும் அரிது. ஆனால், இங்கு அதிக அளவில் செங்கல் கட்டிடங்கள் உள்ளது ஆச்சரியமளிக்கிறது. குறிப்பாக, தென்தமிழகத்தில் அகழ் வாய்வில் கிடைக்கும் வெள்ளை வர்ணம் தீட்டப்பட்ட கருப்பு, சிவப்பு மண்பாண்டங்களும் இங்கு அதிகம் கிடைத்துள்ளன. இந்த அறிய வரலாற்றூ பொக்கிஷங்களை காண பசுமை நடை செல்கிறது

Green Walk 50 - Water Festival

Green Walk is now all set to mark its 50th walk, with preservation of water bodies as its theme, by holding a Water Festival at Keezhakuyilkudi which was the venue for its previous festivals too.

Green Walk is proud of its journey so far and its objective for its walks ahead too is to be one that brings about an understanding and awareness of nature and history in the society, breaking barriers of language, religion and caste.
